1 Cor 12 27Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. 28And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, also those having gifts of healing, those able to help others, those with gifts of administration, and those speaking in different kinds of tongues. 29Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? 30Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues[d]? Do all interpret? 31But eagerly desire[e] the greater gifts.
I was sitting down recently trying to write my book, when this thought came to me - " Is it possible to do everything well ?" Then I listened to a sermon from Pastor Kong Hee on Ability. And an afterthought struck me.
The natural principle of life, God has put in this world will not change. The law of gravity, the law of thermodynamics and of course the law of ability. Because of how we are designed by God, each of us are unique and different in every way.
Some people struggle in sports, some struggle in music, some struggle in administration. Its not that God is being unfair but God has chosen and design us for specific role in the body of Christ. We need to know what we are design so that we can function with our full potential.
If you are design to be a ferrari, you are not desgin to carry people, if you are design to be a tarrago, you are design to move people, If you are design to be a ute, you are design to move heavy load. Just as a ferrari cannot move heavy load, so is a ute unable to drive as fast as the ferrari.
Knowing your ability and releasing your true potential will ultimately help you to live life to thefullest. Though we cannot be all similar but the bible in 1 Cor 12 :27 mention we should desire the greater gifts..... what is the greater gifts ???
While 1 Cor 13 should give us an idea.... of all that remains there is Faith, hope and love, and the greatest of all is Love. So Love is the engine that we all need to have. May God help you to love each other more.
