Life is an opportunity

Recently, while feeling rather free i decided to go the video store to rent a movie. I came across Evans Almighty. I initially thought that it would be just one of those funny and senseless movie. But I am truly amazed at the message behind the movie.

My housemate told me that actually the movie Evans almighty and Bruce almighty is written by a christian. I truly recommend the movie to friends. It is one of those movie which has an underlying theme.

The movie starts off with John Baxter aka ( The-40-year old virgin actor) and his wife praying to God. One asked to change the world while the other ask that the family have more time with each other......and of course God answered their prayers.

But the one sentence which struck a chord with me was when "God" spoke to them. He said, when you pray to be patient does God make you patient or he gives you an opportunity to be patient, when yo pray for love does God give you a fuzzy feeling or an opportunity to love.

The bible says in James 1:2 Dear brothers and sisters,^[a] when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. 3 For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. 4 So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.

Life is truly an opportunity for Growth. Every situation may be an answer to your prayer. Though it may not be always the way you would want it but it will be they way God intended
